Introductory Training at Rosa F. Keller Library

We expect that at least 35,000 New Orleans residents will need to use City-Assisted Evacuation (CAE) because they do not have a way to evacuate themselves and their families ahead of a storm. Evacuteers are the caring people who help to make sure that we all get out safely!

At this training session, you'll learn everything you need to know about hurricane preparedness and safe evacuations, and what YOU can do to serve our city during a state of emergency.

 Topics include:

  • How and why Evacuteer was formed
  • How the City-Assisted Evacuation plan works
  • Evacuteer volunteer roles during evacuation and re-entry
  • Introduction to leadership, specialist roles, and other work that Evacuteer does throughout the year to support our community!

Please fill out the form below to register for this training session- and bring a friend or neighbor with you! :)
